The main focus of InRussia is modern Russian culture; according to the editors’ office, news and politics will be almost excluded from the site. The preliminary launch date is 15th November, for which a short film about the designers by Nina Donis, a photo-essay by Max Avdeev about the Yakut village of Tiksi, and an interview with philosopher Boris Groys are being made. Website partners include Afisha, the British Council, the Stereotactic agency and the Public Opinion Foundation.
InRussia aims to catch the interest of foreigners reading about Russian designers, musicians and artists in Vice and Dazed & Confused, students and professors studying modern Russian culture and a wide audience interested in amazing places like Tuva and Kamchatka and guides around Russia from the inside.
